Echo Square Services were recently contacted by a prestigious hotel chain regarding a hotel in Nottingham which had a leaking sectional GRP water tank which required a full tank reline.
The leak was so severe that water had leaked through the ceiling below, subsequently forcing the onsite team to drain the water tank and place the system onto a temporary mains bypass.
We were able react quickly and ensure our operatives were on site within a few days to carry out the extensive water tank repairs required to all cracked base panels.
Our operatives were then in a position to stripe coat all joints to reinforce the water tanks critical areas prior to applying two coats of WRAS approved ES 988 DWPU polyurethane coating.
The water tank was initially relined with a base coat of grey ES 998 DWPU, followed by the top coat of blue ES 988 DWPU covering all internal surfaces as required.
Once the water tank reline was complete, and the coating had fully cured we were in a position to disinfect the tank as required by ACoP L8 and place it back online.
