We manage a large residential block and recently reached out to Echo to quote to reline two water tanks that were failing. An absolute fantastic service all round. A quote was received within a day or so. Works were booked in and communication was excellent. We were really impressed with the engineers on the day. They communicated well on the day in terms of the plan of action. Once the work was complete, they ensured all areas were left clean and tidy. A follow up report post works was sent very soon after the works. We look forward to working with Echo again. If you need honest, reliable contractors who will get the job done and to a high a standard, don't hesitate to get in touch with them.Thank you.

I contacted Echo Square on behalf of a client of mine who urgently needed her Victorian underground Cistern re lined. The work was quoted for promptly and the work carried out to a high standard by the engineers who were courteous and friendly despite their long drive to site. My client was very impressed and so grateful to have her Cistern back in working order. I would highly recommend this company and will most definitely approach them again should I have another client with tank issues in the future. 5 star service!

We were carrying out plumbing works on a site in London where we discovered a badly leaking GRP water tank, the Echo Square Services team attended site as quickly as possible to repair the leak and reline the tank. We will definitely contact them next time we are faced with a similar issue - would highly recommend.

Having used other companies in the past I can wholeheartedly say that our dealings with Nationwide Tank Relining have been a breath of fresh air. We have had tanks relined, water hygiene assessments and floor coatings. All work was carried out in a timely manner and the quality of work has each and every time been exemplary. My bosses are thrilled with my decision to switch to Nationwide Tank Relining and a tank that was relined 10 years ago by them still looks good as new internally, and the money we've saved from choosing the right supplier has proven to be a very smart business move. Highly recommended!

Water Tanks are essential for storing huge amounts of water for residential homes, business and industrial buildings. Over time, these tanks can leak, crack, or corrode. It’s important to constantly maintain water tanks to avoid these things from happening. In this post, we will look at the sustainable ways to keep your water tank in tip top condition, which in turn will keep it running for years to come. Let’s get started and discuss Water Tanks and Sustainability.

Relining vs Replacements

While it’s sometimes necessary to completely replace a water tank, this isn’t always the case. Many times, the tank just needs extra loving care in the form of relining to keep the very same tank running smoothly.

Echo Square has some shocking figures to share with you.

Replacing a Tank vs Relining Figures

Did you know, that replacing a tank generates 1.5 tonnes of CO₂e and OVER 400KG of waste sent to landfill? By simply having your tank relined only generates 150KG CO₂e. That’s a huge difference.

Tank relining avoids the waste of embodied carbon, reducing the environmental impact by up to 90% compared to full tank replacement.

Did you also know that Transportation of a new tank and disposing of the existing tank adds up to 200+ kg CO₂e per project?

By relining your tank instead of replacing it, you are not only extending the lifespan of your water tank by over 10 years. Additionally relining uses a fraction of the raw materials compared to manufacturing a new tank.

Finally, tank relining can cost up to 60% LESS than replacing your tank. Have we convinced you yet?

How Water Tank Relining Works

As mentioned above, water tanks over time can corrode, leak or crack after holding a huge amount of water over a long period of time. Water Tank Relining applies a new coat inside the tank. The coating seals any damage and restores the tanks ability to hold water again safely. Tank relining works for many different tank materials. This includes steel, concrete, and fiberglass.

Echo Square offer tank relining services which are carried out by our highly trained expert teams. Most importantly, we ensure that your tank remains compliant with ACoP L8.

Conclusion

To end this blog post, let’s summarize the facts and figures that we discussed. Tank Replacements should only be performed if Tank Relining won’t fix the problem you have with your water tank. Water Tank Replacements add a staggering 1.5 tonnes of CO₂e and OVER 400KG of waste sent to landfill. This is compared to a much smaller amount of 150KG CO₂e, when a tank is relined.

Transportation of a new water tank and disposing of the old one adds up to 200+ kg CO₂e per project.
