Echo Square Services recently completed the full internal refurbishment and relining of a leaking GRP cold water storage tank in a hospital in Oxford.
The water tank also had corroded bolts in the lid sections as well as osmotic blistering which was leading to black mould spore growth beneath the water tanks internal gel coat.
Our operatives initially removed the excess mastic from all joints and the the internal surfaces were abraded to provide a 75 micron surface profile to accept our coating.
A full base coat of ES 988 DWPU was then applied to all internal surfaces at a nominal thickness of 300- 500 micron.
The above was then repeated with a top coat of ES 988 DWPU.
Once cured, the water tank was then disinfected as required by ACoP L8 prior to be placed back online.
