Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic we have had an increase in enquiries from businesses that operate buildings which now have a low occupancy, or no occupancy at all.
Many duty holders have realised this is the perfect opportunity to carry out critical works which they wouldn’t usually be able to carry out due to water services having to be completely isolated to allow for water tank relining or water tank replacement works.
Echo Square Services were recently contacted by a hotel which has two galvanised steel water tanks which were leaking due to their butyl tank liners failing.
Our operatives removed the two water tank liners and extensively prepared the galvanised steel substrate underneath prior to carrying out all metal repair works such as filling in the holes used to hang the removed failed butyl tank liners using an epoxy filler.
Both cold water storage tanks were then relined with two coats of ES 988 DWPU polyurethane coating prior to being disinfected in line with ACOP L8 guidelines and being placed back online.
