GRP Water Tank Reline Mayfair - Echo Square Services Ltd

Echo Square Services recently completed the internal tank reline and refurbishment of two GRP cold water storage tanks in Mayfair, London.

The internal gel coats of both GRP water tanks had been compromised by black spore osmosis (dark spots) which is non-compliant with ACOP L8’s technical guidance HSG274 (page 26)

Initially both water tanks were isolated and drained prior to placing the cold water services onto the buildings mains water system via a previously installed mains bypass.

The internal surfaces of each cold water storage tank required extensive preparation to remove the compromised gel coat and black sporing.

Once the preparation of the GRP water tanks internal surfaces was complete, two coats of WRAS approved ES 988 DWPU polyurethane coating was applied to all internal surfaces.

Our operatives then disinfected both water tanks prior to removing the buildings cold water services from the mains water system and placing the tank fed cold water services back online.

We manage a large residential block and recently reached out to Echo to quote to reline two water tanks that were failing. An absolute fantastic service all round. A quote was received within a day or so. Works were booked in and communication was excellent. We were really impressed with the engineers on the day. They communicated well on the day in terms of the plan of action. Once the work was complete, they ensured all areas were left clean and tidy. I contacted Echo Square on behalf of a client of mine who urgently needed her Victorian underground Cistern re lined. The work was quoted for promptly and the work carried out to a high standard by the engineers who were courteous and friendly despite their long drive to site. My client was very impressed and so grateful to have her Cistern back in working order. I would highly recommend this company and will most definitely approach them again should I have another client with tank issues in the future. 5 star service!
